As a Senior Marine Biologist, you'll design and oversee marine studies, manage budgets, and prepare vital technical reports. Your expertise in marine environments will guide regulatory approvals while liaising with clients and Indigenous communities. Collaborating across teams, you will mentor junior staff and engage in fieldwork to collect valuable ecological data.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and lead marine studies and projects
• Develop scopes, budgets, and proposals
• Provide regulatory expertise for marine environments
• Coordinate environmental assessments and approvals
• Mentor junior and intermediate staff members
Requirements:
• University degree in biology or similar field
• R.P.Bio or P.Biol. designation or eligibility
• 10+ years in marine biology or ocean science
• Experience with regulatory documents in BC
• Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., R)
