Your role focuses on safe collection of water samples across diverse environments.
The Water Services Department is looking for two dedicated Laboratory Assistant IIs to perform essential sampling activities across the region. Candidates should have scientific training, robust driving skills, and be comfortable working independently in varying weather conditions. This position plays a vital role in maintaining environmental integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collect and transport water samples from various sites
• Drive to and modify routes efficiently as needed
• Execute field tests using specialized equipment
• Maintain accurate sampling logs and reports
• Ensure cleanliness of sampling apparatus and vehicle
Requirements:
• Completed Grade 12 with science background
• Knowledge of water collection processes and safety measures
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with good driving history
• Capacity to lift and maneuver sampling equipment
• Strong observational skills for maintaining operational standards
