Senior Geochemist - Environmental Services

In this senior role, you will leverage your strong background in water quality and geochemistry within Stantec's Environmental Services team. You will enhance our brand presence while leading various projects, particularly in mining. Collaborating with engineers and scientists, you will ensure health and safety compliance while performing critical assessments and evaluations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform geochemical and water quality assessments for projects
• Lead environmental monitoring and compliance tasks
• Collaborate on impact assessment and feasibility studies
• Guide engineering teams on mine planning and design
• Prepare technical reports and conduct fieldwork as needed
Requirements:
•
B.Sc. in Geochemistry, Hydrology or similar field
• 10+ years mining sector consulting experience
• Strong understanding of Canadian water quality regulations
• Proven data analysis and problem-solving skills
• Professional registration (P.Geo. or P.Eng.) required
