WSP is seeking a skilled Intermediate Spatial Ecologist to enhance our Ecology team with strong analytical and geospatial capabilities. This hybrid opportunity allows for flexibility while tackling crucial ecological assessments.
As an applicant, you'll need 5–10 years of relevant experience and a Master’s degree in a related field. In this role, your expertise in Python and GIS will facilitate automated workflows and data analysis, integrating advanced technologies like machine learning to improve environmental decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze and interpret ecological datasets across sectors
• Develop GIS and Python workflows for spatial modeling
• Create visualizations to present analytical findings
• Conduct data analysis using Python and/or R
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports on methodologies
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Ecology, Data Science, Environmental Science
• 5–10 years of experience in environmental consulting
• Proficiency in GIS tools and automation scripting
• Experience handling large ecological datasets
• Strong report writing and presentation skills
