Support Metro Vancouver's environmental monitoring initiatives as an Environmental Scientist I. This full-time temporary position focuses on wastewater discharge analysis and monitoring.
Join the Liquid Waste Services Department, where you will assist in environmental monitoring programs and manage contractor relationships in Burnaby, BC. Your expertise in data analysis, regulatory compliance, and environmental studies will be crucial as you oversee operations and ensure adherence to environmental protocols. Effective communication with internal and external parties will enhance project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor daily operations of environmental projects
• Coordinate contractor schedules and sampling procedures
• Collect and analyze test data for reporting
• Liaise with government agencies on protocols
• Ensure compliance with liquid waste management plans
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or Environmental Science
• Knowledge of environmental study principles
• Experience in statistical analysis and reporting
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Valid B.C. Driver's licence
