Title of position:
Cement Finisher / Epoxy Application

• Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials and direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade.
• Fill hollows and remove high spots to smooth freshly poured concrete.
• Operate power vibrator to compact concrete.
• Level top surface of concrete according to grade and depth specifications using straightedge or float.
• Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
• Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete.
• Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure surface of concrete.
• Waterproof, damp-proof and restore concrete surfaces.
• Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of floors, walls, roads and other concrete structures.
• Prepare the concrete and other substrate by steel shot blasting, diamond grinding, sanding, etc., to receive topping materials.
• Apply epoxy, polyurethane, MMA and other protective polymer flooring and coating materials over horizontal, vertical and overhead concrete, drywall and other surfaces.
• Apply specified primers to the flooring substrate.
• Mix cement or epoxy mortars and self leveling compounds to specification requirements.
• Install mixed mortars and self leveling compounds in accordance with specifications and manufacturer’s recommendations.
• Cleanup tools, equipment, and job-site environment.
• Apply all personal and site safety procedures.
• Major work area:
  New construction, renovation, repairs of concrete floors and walls in public facilities (hospitals, recreational centers, restaurants, etc), industrial facilities (food processing, pharmaceutical, chemical, etc) and residential facilities.

Terms of employment:
Permanent, Overtime, Day, Night

Language of work: basic English

Wages: $37.00 per hour for 40 hours per week, with potential of overtime
