Service Plumber (Journeyman)*

* This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality plumbing services across residential, commercial, and industrial projects in the Lower Mainland. You will install, repair, and maintain a wide range of plumbing systems while upholding strong standards of integrity, workmanship, and customer service. The position is ideal for a skilled Journeyman Plumber who enjoys service work, troubleshooting, and working as part of a collaborative field team.
** Responsibilities*
* Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems for residential, commercial, and industrial customers across the Lower Mainland.
Perform regular maintenance and inspections to identify and address leaks, clogs, pipe damage, and other plumbing issues before they escalate.
Install plumbing-related equipment such as water softeners, garbage disposals, sump pumps, and other system components.
Diagnose and repair a wide range of plumbing problems to restore systems to proper working order quickly and efficiently.
Assess when plumbing components have reached the end of their lifespan and recommend appropriate replacements to customers.
Troubleshoot complex plumbing issues using strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of plumbing systems and components.
Ensure all work complies with local plumbing codes, safety standards, and industry best practices.
Provide clear, professional communication and excellent customer service while working on-site with residential and commercial clients.
Collaborate with a team of technicians and office staff to schedule, prioritize, and complete service calls efficiently.
Operate a company vehicle safely while traveling to job sites throughout Vancouver, Burnaby, the Tri-Cities, and the broader Lower Mainland.
Document work performed, materials used, and any follow-up requirements in an accurate and timely manner.
Support a positive team culture by maintaining a good attitude, sharing knowledge, and assisting colleagues as needed.
** Essential Skills*
* Minimum 4+ years of service plumbing experience, with a focus on troubleshooting and repair in the field.
Valid Journeyman Plumber certification.
Valid driveru
2019s license suitable for operating a company service vehicle.
Strong knowledge of plumbing systems for residential, commercial, and industrial applications.
Working knowledge of local plumbing codes and the ability to apply them in daily work.
Proven experience with plumbing maintenance, installations, repairs, and replacements.
Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with plumbing-related equipment such as water softeners, garbage disposals, and sump pumps.
Strong customer service skills, including clear communication and a professional on-site presence.
Good attitude and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and team members.
Ability to work as a team player within a larger group of technicians.
Experience in service plumbing environments that cover multiple locations or regions.
** Additional
Skills & Qualifications *
* Red Seal Plumber certification.
Backflow ticket or cross-connection certification.
Gas B ticket.
Heating experience in residential or commercial settings.
Experience with mechanical and heating systems in conjunction with plumbing installations.
Exposure to both commercial and residential service plumbing projects.
Interest in growing into all areas of plumbing to develop a well-rounded skill set.

** Work Environment*
* This is a field-based service plumbing role supporting both commercial and residential customers across the Lower Mainland, with most work concentrated in Vancouver, Burnaby, and the Tri-Cities. You will work as part of a team of approximately 40 technicians, collaborating closely with colleagues in a supportive, team-focused environment. New team members typically meet at the shop for the first two weeks and then proceed directly to job sites.
Standard hours are approximately 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with significant opportunities for overtime. The role involves daily travel using a company vehicle to various customer locations, working in a variety of building types and site conditions typical of service plumbing work.
