Launch your career with the Carpentry Foundation Program at ACCESS, focusing on high-demand skills for Indigenous participants. This fully funded program offers comprehensive training in multiple carpentry specialties.
ACCESS empowers Indigenous communities by providing extensive employment and training opportunities. This program includes 8 weeks of Indigenous Skills for Success, followed by 26 weeks of technical training. Participants will master cabinetmaking, architectural woodwork, furniture making, and more while learning essential building management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Complete Indigenous Skills for Success training
• Engage in technical training across carpentry specialties
• Focus on safety and cleanliness in projects
• Work collaboratively with diverse teams
• Develop tenant relations for building management
Requirements:
• English 10 or equivalent certification
• Reside in the Lower Mainland region
• Ability to work at heights in various weather
• Open to Indigenous peoples:
Status, Non-Status, Metis, or Inuit
• Enthusiasm for hands-on work in carpentry
