Position Overview
Fully funded program in Indigenous Skills for Success (IS4S) and technical training. Allowance, transit and meals provided. Minimum four weeks of practical training, with additional specialized modules for a full 27–28 week program.
Location
Suite 101 – 1658 Fosters Way, Annacis Island, Call.
Responsibilities
Participate in practical training in welding, carpentry, pipe fitting, electrical, cabinetmaking, architectural woodwork, furniture making, and boat interiors.
Acquire and apply skills in a wide variety of construction specialties.
Qualifications
Grade 12 or equivalent.
Must pass a Criminal Record & Vulnerable Sector Check.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Respectful and professional interaction with others.
Applicants are encouraged to have at least one year of construction industry experience.
Must be able to work at heights in adverse weather conditions.
Open to Indigenous peoples – First Nations, Status, Non-Status, Métis and Inuit.
