Role Description

This is a full‑time, on‑site Industrial Mechanic Millwright role based in Coyle, BC. The Industrial Mechanic Millwright will install, align, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, including conveyors, pumps, motors, and production systems. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, performing precision alignments and adjustments, and using hand and power tools, lifting devices, and welding equipment safely.

The role involves performing preventive maintenance, inspecting equipment for wear or failure, and documenting work performed. The Industrial Mechanic Millwright will work closely with other trades and supervisors to support industrial moving projects, equipment upgrades, and safe, efficient plant operations.

Qualifications
  • Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic Millwright certification or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Proficiency in installing, aligning, and maintaining industrial machinery, including experience with rotating equipment, conveyors, and material handling systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
  • Experience with welding and fabrication, including safe use of welding equipment and related tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety practices, lockout/tagout procedures, and adherence to site and regulatory requirements.
  • Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting, climbing, working at heights, and working in industrial environments.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and other trades.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to different job sites within BC and Alberta as required.
  • Previous industrial, manufacturing, or construction site experience is an asset.
