Become a key instructor in Welding at BCIT's School of Construction and Environment. This temporary full-time role involves teaching diverse students in practical and theoretical components of welding.
The British Columbia Institute of Technology is seeking a dynamic Welding Faculty Member for its reputable programs. Candidates should have a Red Seal journeyman certification with BC level “A” or equivalent and possess at least five years’ industry experience. You will demonstrate practical skills, prepare lesson plans, and actively engage with both students and staff in a collaborative teaching environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach apprenticeship and entry-level welding students

• Prepare comprehensive lesson plans and classroom lectures

• Maintain and repair welding equipment and machinery

• Demonstrate multi-process welding procedures effectively

• Collaborate with Department Head and support staff
Requirements:

• Red Seal certification as a journeyman welder

• Five years of heavy industry welding experience

• Current pressure welding qualifications

• Supervisory and equipment maintenance experience

• Strong interpersonal communication skills
