Position: HVAC Mechanic Role at BCIT
Join BCIT as an HVAC Mechanic, specializing in repair and maintenance of air conditioning and heating systems.

This role offers a chance to enhance your expertise while ensuring comfort in our facilities.

As part of BCIT’s Campus Planning and Facilities, you will tackle various HVAC challenges, both planned and emergency. The position demands adept troubleshooting skills and a solid understanding of mechanical systems and building automation. You'll work collaboratively to maintain optimal operating conditions and public safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot HVAC systems and perform repairs

• Complete detailed work orders for maintenance tasks

• Execute preventative maintenance as per the PM Plan

• Keep inventory of necessary parts and supplies

• Liaise with various departments and external contractors

Requirements:

• Trades Qualification or Journeyperson status required

• Two to four years of relevant experience in building trades

• Familiarity with mechanical control systems

• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication

• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot effectively
