Landscaper

Westwood Landscapes Inc, located at 1126 Douglas Road, Burnaby, BC V5C 4Z6, invites applications for the position of Landscaper. This is a permanent, full‑time role starting as soon as possible. Shifts include Day, Evening, Overtime, Flexible Hours, and Morning. Salary is $24.00 to $27.00 hourly (to be negotiated) for 40 hours per week.

• The candidate must survey and evaluate designated sites.
• The candidate must plan and construct landscaped environments that may include trees, shrubberies, lawns, fences, decks, patios, and other landscape structures.
• The candidate must plant and maintain private and public lawns and gardens.
• The candidate must plant and move trees.
• The candidate must dig ditches and trenches.
• The candidate must ensure that safety regulations are followed.
• The candidate must communicate with other employees in order to coordinate the preparation and completion of work assignments.

• The candidate should be fluent in English.
• The candidate should have a minimum qualification of Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate should be client focused.
• The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate should be a good team player.
• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.

• The candidate will be required to work in various locations.

• The candidate should have an eye for details.
• The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.
• The candidate should be prepared to perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate must perform manual dexterity tasks.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in sitting, standing, and walking positions.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods of time.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.
