Tower Crane Operator Ticket - Newell Substation BC

Job Summary

Jardeg is recruiting for a Tower Crane Operator with an A Ticket to operate a self‑erect crane on an infrastructure project in Burnaby, BC. The role is day shift, 5 days on/2 days off, local only, with an hourly rate of $55.62.

• Clean, lubricate, and maintain the crane continuously.
• Complete thorough daily inspections and monitor crane performance to prevent malfunctions and damage.
• Execute specific work orders with sufficient detail for co‑workers to acknowledge completion and/or report equipment issues.
• Provide mechanical expertise and advanced analytical troubleshooting to assist operations, maintenance, and technical personnel in identifying and solving day‑to‑day equipment problems.
• Strictly adhere to safety regulations and precautions, completing required logs and inspection reports per OHSA Regulation.
• Maintain extensive knowledge of the tower crane’s lifting capacities to ensure no load is lifted where weight is unknown or overweight.

• A Tower Crane A‑level ticket is required.
• 3‑5 years of related experience operating self‑erecting tower cranes is strongly preferred.
• Experience on fast‑paced infrastructure projects.
• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting self‑erecting tower cranes is an asset.
