Millwork/Cabinetry Installation Supervisor

Permanent, full-time (40 hours/week).

Start date:

As soon as possible. Wage: $38.00/hour – $40.00/hour. Vacation: 4% vacation pay.

Location

Primary: 4155 McConnell Dr., Burnaby, BC V5A 3J7. Secondary:
Various project sites throughout the Lower Mainland.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise, direct and coordinate daily tasks of a small team of 1-4 installers and/or apprentices.
  • Study architectural drawings, millwork shop drawings and elevations to map out precise layouts, reference lines and heights for the installation phase.
  • Establish and manage the installation timeline onsite and ensure the crew hits specific project milestones.
  • Inspect all scribing, joints and mitres executed by the crew.
  • Ensure premium millwork is flawlessly fitted to uneven site conditions while maintaining strict tolerances.
  • Act as the shop’s primary point of contact onsite and coordinate logistics with the general contractor’s site superintendent to resolve spacing and scheduling conflicts with other trades.
  • Audit incoming millwork shipments from our fabrication shop to verify inventory, track hardware supplies and request missing pieces to prevent downtime.
  • Monitor and enforce workplace safety protocols, including proper use of tools and personal protective equipment.
  • Work with the crew to perform high‑skill modifications, intricate scribing and specialized anchoring of heavy architectural units.
Employment Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a high‑end millwork, finishing, carpentry shop.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a small team, acting as the site lead or managing installation projects independently.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license to travel to assigned project sites.
  • Possession of standard hand tools.
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
Education Requirements

Secondary high school graduation is required.
