Concrete Scanning Technician Trainee

Overview

As Xradar’s Concrete Scanning Technician – Trainee, you will gain practical experience and grow a career in construction. The role is mentally and physically engaging and offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects.

• Utilize GPR with Xradar’s technology to locate and map the position of post‑tension cables, rebar, and electrical conduits in concrete.
• Employ drilling techniques to create holes and openings in concrete structures.
• Perform fieldwork, visiting a wide range of construction projects to gain hands‑on experience.
• Prepare job sites and set up equipment, including maintenance of tools and required clean‑up.
• Complete job summary reports for client review.

• At least 1 year of experience in a labour or construction role.
• Valid driver’s licence to use company vehicles when necessary.
• Strong computer skills; experience with AutoCAD and GPS is a significant asset.

• Option of a company vehicle once training is complete.
• Training wage of $27.00–$28.00 per hour, DOE. After training, the wage increases to $28.40–$32.00 per hour, DOE, with further growth based on experience, responsibilities, and skills.
