Position Summary
BCIT’s School of Construction and the Environment is seeking a temporary, full-time (1.0 FTE) Maintenance Mechanic. This position responds to work orders and trouble calls for the repair, installation and maintenance of the School’s machinery and equipment, including their electrical components. Troubleshoots issues and determines repair approach and solutions. Coordinates and/or carries out plans for and prioritizes emergency maintenance, repairs and replacements to machinery for the School.Duties & Responsibilities
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assesses urgency, priority, community/public safety while determining and establishing repair priority and approach.
Compiles cost estimates and makes recommendations for improvements.
