Position: Mechanical & HVACR Estimator (Intermediate)
Broadway Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Co. Ltd. has been the leader in design, installation, and service of multi-unit residential and commercial heating, ventilation, air-conditioning (HVAC), mechanical, and refrigeration systems since 1957.
Broadway is seeking to add a hard-working Mechanical Estimator (Intermediate) to our Team. If you're experienced in Mechanical Estimating, have immaculate attention to detail, and want to join an innovative organization where your work is valued,
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
Post-secondary degree, certificate, or diploma in construction/engineering, or an appropriate field. A combination of education and trade-work experience will also be considered.
A minimum of 2+ years of experience in mechanical estimating

Knowledge of building mechanical systems (HVAC, Refrigeration, Plumbing)
Emotional intelligence & good stress management, maintains the ability to work under pressure
Excellence in written and oral communication
Time management & the ability to adhere to deadlines

Knowledge of BC Building Code and ASHRAE Standards
Team Player & Motivated to work alone
Maintains the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
Capable of reading and understanding blue prints (mechanical)

CANDIDATE TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Mechanical plan & drawing aptitude
Procurement & Bid Portal management/submission
Safety Certification & Training
Blue Beam, Adobe Acrobat, Procore
Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Progress & draw payment experience a plus
