Newmont seeks Mining Electricians for its remote Kitimat-Stikine operation. The work centers on installing, diagnosing, and maintaining electrical systems. Candidates need mining or industrial experience, safety commitment, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:- Install electrical systems in a remote mining environment
- Diagnose electrical systems and equipment issues
- Maintain high-voltage power systems and electrical distribution
- Support power generation plants and related equipment
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
- Red Seal Electrical Certification
- Seven or more years in mining or industrial settings
- Knowledge of 138kV, 69kV, 5kV, and 600V systems
- PSSP and high-voltage safety experience
- Familiarity with FS6 breakers, switch gear, and transformers
