Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic

We are searching for a Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to join our rapidly growing team in Burnaby, BC
. You'll use your skills to perform maintenance tasks as well as minor repairs on equipment in a safe and professional manner. You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of diesel engines and generator / power generation equipment.

* NOTE:

we are also open to candidates who have specialized experience in HVAC and electrical equipment.

• Pay: $30 - $42 CAD/hour + OT opportunity (based on experience). If your target pay is higher, we still encourage you to apply—we could request adjustments based on experience and market conditions.

• Maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and diesel systems on a variety of rental gensets and customer equipment and tools.
• Report machine condition to Management.
• Responsible for service documentation.
• Occasional travel to customer sites.
• Rotational on-call schedule.
• Demonstrate equipment for customers.
• Train lower-level technicians as needed.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
• Other duties assigned as needed.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience with repairing and maintaining diesel engines or HVAC equipment
• Intermediate to advanced diagnostic and repair skills for mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic and other systems
• Strong mechanical background knowledge particularly with various engines
• Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams.
• Own the tools applicable to position.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
