Work schedule: 12 hour shifts- 3 days one week and 4 days the following week.
Location: Both Burney Annex and Fall River.
Weekends and holidays: Rotating coverage.

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Activity Director and the Social Services Designee, Activity Aide is responsible for the provision of activities functions and initial admissions process to SNF residents and documentation of same.

Position Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalency exam preferred but not required.

Previous experience in adult recreation and/or in the care of geriatric residents preferred but not required.

Some basic understanding of medical terminology

Current Driver's license with clear DMV record.

Specific

Competencies:

Previous experience in adult recreation and/or in the care of geriatric residents preferred but not required.

Provides individual and group activities to residents under the direction of the Activity Director.

Works with other departments to foster a multidisciplinary approach toward providing residents with activity programs that meet their preferences and needs.

Assures that the individual resident care plans are addressed in the facilitation of activity programs.

Relates to residents in an enthusiastic, creative manner to assure the maximal participation in each activity program.

Assists with the total care and well being of facility pets.

Maintains documentation of resident activity program participation in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
