Develop outstanding and invaluable interpersonal skills to prepare you for your chosen career in the Travel and Tourism or Hospitality industry. There are nine modules in each year of the course including: cabin crew, customer service, travel destinations, resort representatives, cruise, airports/airlines and many more. Practical assessments that take place are demonstrations, presentations and role plays. Taking part in College events, work experience and trips will also be used for assessment purposes to ensure you demonstrate the correct skills, knowledge and behaviours required for the industry, and make up a large portion of the course.
You may progress to a job role within the Travel, Tourism, Hospitality and Events sector, or further study.

Entry Requirements5 GCSEs at Grade 5or above including English and Mathematics or a relevant Level 2 qualification.
ModulesDuring the course, you will develop your knowledge of customer service, cabin crew, the UK conference and events industry, destinations and visitor attractions, the work of travel agents, aviation and tour guiding. You will also complete a work experience placement as part of your course in order to put your learning into practice.
AssessmentThe assessment methods will vary and reflect the types of communications used in the travel and tourism sector such as creating guides, reports and presentations and will also include practical involvement in role play and group activities.

Equipment SuppliedThe Travel Training Suite offers a mock up aircraft fuselage, facilities for airport and hotel check in, a mock travel agency and a number of specialised hospitality equipment.
