Position Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: Faribault, MN (only local candidates in MN will be considered. Weekly onsite presence required. Hybrid schedule after training)

Compensation: $25-$30/hr

Benefits: This position is eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k) if you work at least 32 hours/wk

Overview:

We're partnering with a local organization that is looking to add an Accounts Payable Specialist to their accounting team on a temporary basis to provide coverage for a maternity leave. This is a great opportunity for someone with prior AP experience, but they are also open to someone early in their accounting career or still in college with some relevant experience who is comfortable learning new processes and working in a high-volume environment.

In this role, you'll process a high volume of purchase order and service invoices, complete 3-way matching, enter invoices into SAP, and assist with weekly check runs. This is a part-time, flexible opportunity that is expected to run through January 2027.

What You'll Be Doing

• Process a high volume of purchase order invoices using 3-way matching.
• Enter shop and maintenance invoices into SAP using information provided on the invoices.
• Process material invoices in SAP, completing 3-way matches and pushing invoices through the system.
• Review invoices for accuracy and resolve discrepancies as needed.
• Assist with weekly Wednesday check runs, including matching and printing checks.
• Support the AP team with additional invoice processing and related tasks as needed.

What We're Looking For

• Prior Accounts Payable or invoice processing experience preferred, but not required.
• Great opportunity for someone early in their accounting career or still in college with some relevant experience.
• Comfortable working in a high-volume environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to learn and navigate SAP or other accounting systems.
• Reliable and organized with the ability to manage recurring weekly responsibilities.
