Trystar’s team members are our most important asset, and we are in search of aMaster Black belt – Continuous Improvement based at our Faribault or Burnsville office. Reporting to the Director of Business Process Optimization, Program Management, the Master Blackbelt – Continuous Improvement will play a critical role in analyzing data to drive strategic decisions, optimize processes, and support innovation across our diverse product lines.

Your expertise will help us maintain our leadership in power solutions while advancing sustainable and renewable energy initiatives. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent facilitation skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams. Your contributions will be highly visible and the expectation is continued value returned back to the business.

In this role you will get to:
  • Use metrics to support decision‑making and validate improvements.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to identify trends and insights.
  • Develop statistical models to support product development and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to provide data‑driven recommendations.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of data used for decision‑making.
  • Prepare detailed reports and visualizations for stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on emerging statistical methods and tools.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or related field.
  • Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., R, Python, SAS).
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Experience with data visualization tools is a plus.
Preferred skills
  • PMP certification
  • Lean Sigma Black Belt
  • Experience in electromechanical assembly
  • Familiarity with Epicor
  • Data fluency with intermediate statistical capability (Minitab, JMP)
  • Experience owning lean transformations from discovery to sustaining
Additional Information
  • Fluency in Spanish or French is a plus
