This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career.
The Impact You’ll Make in this Role- Leading the transformation agenda and operating model adoption for the USAC commercial organization, including roadmap ownership, critical path management, decision governance, and cross-functional workstream integration.
- Facilitating the shift from a sell-in/shipment-oriented model to a consumer/POS-driven model by documenting current- and future-state workflows, supporting process redesign, and enabling adoption of new commercial KPIs and governance.
- Partnering with USAC leadership, HR, Finance, Commercial Excellence, and other enterprise functions to support role mapping, updated job responsibilities, change management, reskilling plans, and productivity tracking.
- Driving disciplined transformation execution by establishing decision-focused governance cadences, managing communications, identifying adoption barriers, and ensuring operating-model changes are embedded through customer planning cycles.
- Coordinating across CBG and enterprise transformation teams to ensure USAC commercial changes are aligned with broader enterprise direction while supporting consumer-model requirements and minimizing duplication, gaps, or rework.
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
- Ten (10) years of transformation program management, commercial excellence, operating-model implementation, or change management experience in a consumer, retail, commercial, or other highly matrixed, private, public, government, or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Strategy, Organizational Effectiveness, or a related discipline from an accredited institution
- Experience leading or facilitating large-scale commercial transformation, including workflow documentation, governance cadence, adoption tracking, and implementation of new ways of working
- Experience enabling measurable business or P&L outcomes through structural change, process redesign, productivity improvement, or organizational transformation
- Experience in a consumer packaged goods company or consumer-facing commercial organization, particularly with sell-through, margin, pricing, promotional effectiveness, or point-of-sale-oriented operating models
- Experience with Revenue Growth Management, price-pack architecture, trade-spend optimization, mix management, customer planning, or commercial performance management
- Experience building, leading, or operating a transformation PMO, business change office, or enterprise transformation governance model
- Strong executive communication, stakeholder influence, change management, decision facilitation, and critical-path management skills
