Job Overview
Cub Burnsville HOTC on Travelers Trail is looking for a dedicated individual to fill a part‑time cashier position. Cashiers follow front‑end checkout procedures for all transactions, maintain positive customer relations, and expedite processing of all orders. This position requires ongoing customer interaction and the ability to provide prompt, courteous and accurate service.
Responsibilities- Assist customers and ensure proper service levels and courtesy from all associates
- Perform product scanning and process customer orders accurately, efficiently, and promptly
- Handle all forms of tender and coupons
- Handle voids, returns, refunds, and exchanges accurately
- Assist with customer questions or requests
- Assist with front‑end maintenance and cleaning
- Operate equipment (scanner, register, check‑approval machine, coupon machine, intercom, calculator, etc.)
- Stand for long periods of time
- Have memorization, reading, writing, and math skills
- Provide ongoing customer interaction with prompt, courteous and accurate service
- Use good judgment when direct supervision is not immediately available
- Understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies verbally or in writing
- Work shifts varying in length and time, including nights, weekends and holidays
- Be 16 years of age or older
- Lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs
- Walking on uneven ground
- Reaching, bending, turning, and repetitive motions
- Varied weekly evening shifts
- Weekends required
