Position Overview:

Spring Stipend (0.50 FTE) Athletic Director

Compensation: $2200

Summary:

Plans, directs, and oversees the operations of the athletic program at Nicollet Middle School.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential duties include, but are not limited to the list below. Other duties may be assigned as necessary to support the athletic program at Nicollet Middle School.

* Maintain an inventory, storage, and order necessary equipment and uniforms for each sport at Nicollet Middle School

* Assist the Nicollet Middle School Associate Principal in the recruitment, hiring, and support of coaches for the Nicollet Middle School athletics program.

* Assist in the marketing to, recruitment of, and retention of student athletes for the Nicollet Middles School athletics program.

* Work in partnership with the Burnsville High School athletic director in building the competition schedule for the sports teams at Nicollet Middle School.

* Direct and work with coaches and in some cases Eagle Ridge Middle School athletic coordinator to secure transportation/busing for away contests for each athletic team.

* Reserve facilities spaces at Nicollet Middle School for practices and home competitions.

* Work in partnership with the Burnsville Athletic Director in securing referees for home athletic competitions.

* Coordinate the use of and replacement of athletic resources as necessary.

* Site supervisor for Nicollet Middle School home athletic competitions.

* Work in partnership with the Nicollet Middle School Associate Principal in supervising and evaluation of coaches.

* Hiring a worker for scorer table for certain home athletic competitions.

Qualifications:

* Knowledge of State, Federal, and ISD 191 School Board Policies regarding student conduct and appropriate disciplinary action.

* Evidence of and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills when working with coworkers, parents, community members, supervisor, and students.

* Ability to receive feedback and adjust accordingly.

* Strong work ethic and dedication to further the benefits of student participation in co-curricular activities.

* Ability to perform essential job functions.
