Special Education Teacher, Special Needs / Learning Disabilities, Teacher Assistant/ Paraprofessional
Make an impact by supporting students with unique learning needs, working as a Special Education Teacher for the full school year. Multiple contract positions are available in a vibrant, supportive school community, serving middle and elementary students in resource and specialized center-based programs. Your expertise will help meet a range of needs—including those of students in ASD and DCD programs—while collaborating closely with fellow educators and paraprofessionals.
Your role will be instrumental in schools dedicated to behavioral and academic growth. Assignments are onsite only and include resource teaching as well as leading center-based classrooms with a cross-categorical focus on behavior.
Qualifications- Hold a valid Minnesota teaching credential in one of the following areas:

Autism Spectrum Disorders - Special

Developmental Disabilities - Special

Early Childhood - Special
Education:
Emotional Behavioral Disorders - Special
Education:
Learning Disabilities - Academic & Behavioral Strategist License (ABS license is optional)
- Special
- Demonstrated experience with behavior management and implementation of individualized behavior plans
- Strong instructional and classroom management skills
- Excellent collaboration abilities with both special education and general education colleagues, and paraprofessionals
- Consistent, reliable attendance
- Provide instruction and support in center-based or resource settings for middle or elementary aged students
- Implement effective, individualized behavior strategies and classroom routines
- Actively collaborate to plan, problem-solve, and monitor student progress
- Schedule and work closely with paraprofessionals to support student needs
- Maintain clear communication with team members, students, and families
