Job Title:
Avionics Repair Technician (Second Shift)
Location:
Burnsville, Minnesota – Onsite.
Hours:
Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM.
- Utilize microelectronic, electronic, optical, electro‑optical, mechanical, or electromechanical equipment, including computers and lasers.
- Follow written procedures and demonstrate proper use of hand tools and measuring devices.
- Use blueprints, guidelines, and diagrams to ensure product specifications and tolerance levels are met.
- Perform troubleshooting and testing of repair units using electronic test instrumentation.
- Use SAP and other MRO computer programs to document work and track parts.
- Participate on project teams and apply technical expertise to evaluate, develop, maintain, and use complex products, devices, tests, or procedures under constantly changing conditions.
- Be highly motivated, dedicated to exceeding customer expectations, and rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Employ analytical skills and problem‑solving abilities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Conduct written and verbal communication with technicians, engineering, and leadership within the MRO.
- Manage moderate level planning responsibilities and maintain safety‑sensitive practices in accordance with FAA guidelines.
- Undergo drug and alcohol testing per FAA’s regulation 14 CFR Part 120 and 49 CFR Part 40.
- High‑school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of one year of relevant experience.
- Electronics background with at least two years of complimentary work history in a manufacturing or service environment.
- AAS degree in electronics and/or prior military experience.
- Two or more years’ experience with aviation manufacturing or repair.
- Holds or can obtain Preliminary MRB (Materials Review Board) authorization.
- Experience reviewing CMM/SB (Compliance Maintenance Manual/Service Bulletin) documentation and creating mark‑ups.
