This is a full-time, on-site Project Engineer role based in Burnsville, MN. The Project Engineer will support project managers and field teams by coordinating project activities, assisting with planning and scheduling, and tracking progress against project milestones. Daily responsibilities include reviewing drawings and specifications, preparing documentation, managing submittals and RFIs, and helping ensure that materials, labor, and equipment are available as needed.
The role involves working closely with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to maintain clear communication and resolve issues promptly. The Project Engineer will also assist with quality control, safety documentation, cost tracking, and reporting to help deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Candidates should possess strong Project Engineering and Project Management skills to support project delivery from planning through closeout.
- Candidates should possess Project Planning and scheduling skills to coordinate timelines, resources, and construction activities.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Candidates should possess relevant engineering knowledge, such as Electrical Engineering or related disciplines, to interpret plans and technical specifications.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include experience in commercial construction, familiarity with construction management software, strong problem‑solving abilities, and attention to detail.
- An associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience, is preferred.
- Ability to work on‑site in Burnsville, MN, manage multiple priorities, and support a safety-focused, team-oriented work environment.
