We are looking to add a Water Resources Project Engineer, PE who will help foster our mission that All People Should Live in Safe, Sustainable and Beautiful Communities! As a Water Resources Project Engineer, you will spend the majority of your time assisting project managers in design and construction phase activities on water resources and ag drainage projects. The primary focus of this position is on ag drainage storm water modeling and design projects.
You will assist our team in achieving our belief that all people should live in safe, sustainable, and beautiful communities. We take pride in our ability to provide technical planning and engineering services to make that happen.
We are looking for candidates who possess a high capacity for self-motivation and can apply engineering and water resources knowledge to a variety of projects. In addition, you must be able to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and staff from various agencies.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Performs preliminary layout, modeling and design.
- Researches and prepares rough drafts of preliminary reports and feasibility studies.
- Assists with project design and preparation of plans and specifications and prepare cost and quantity take-off estimates.
- Assists with plan reviews, storm water pollution prevention plans, design of storm water facilities, storm water detention and retention design, water quality design, and storm water management planning
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Water Resources or Biosystems Engineering from an accredited college or university
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)
- 5-10 years' progressive experience in the civil engineering field, including hydraulic and hydrologic modeling
- Experience in plan and specification development with construction contract administration
