Talent Manager, Employee Relations
Job Title: Human Resources Business Partner
Compensation: $35-$45 per hour – paid weekly
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Looking to support a growing industry while working primarily onsite in an office environment? We’re seeking an experienced HR Business Partner with a strong focus on Employee Relations for our Burnsville, MN location.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives on being hands on, building relationships across the business, and partnering directly with leaders and employees to strengthen culture, drive performance, and support a consistent, compliant workplace. This position reports to the HR Director for the manufacturing site and offers a pay range of $35–$45 per hour.
What You’ll Do
- Provide day-to-day support and coaching to supervisors and team leads on performance management, corrective actions, and policy interpretation.
- Conduct timely and objective workplace investigations, including interviews, documentation, and recommended outcomes.
- Monitor trends in employee relations to proactively address issues and improve communication, engagement, and consistency across the facility.
- Serve as a primary HR point of contact for assigned manufacturing departments, offering guidance on employee needs, development opportunities, and staffing challenges.
- Support managers in delivering feedback, drafting performance plans, and navigating sensitive employee situations.
- Ensure HR actions and documentation are aligned with company policies, employment laws, and manufacturing operational requirements.
- Support annual HR initiatives such as compensation reviews, talent planning, and engagement programs.
- Maintain accurate employee records and support updates in HR systems.
- Support onboarding processes to ensure new hires have a smooth start, including guiding managers on preparation and expectations for new employees.
- Assist with offboarding activities, exit documentation, and turnover analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments such as Safety, Payroll, and Operations to support consistent practices across the site.
Key Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or relevant experience).
- 3–5 years of HR experience, including exposure to employee relations topics.
- Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or related industrial environment.
- Working knowledge of employment regulations and documentation best practices.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to partner effectively with employees at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving, operational environment.
- Experience supporting supervisors through investigations, corrective action, and performance conversations.
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms and comfort working with data, reports, and documentation.
- Experience with onsite HR support in a production or skilled trade environment.
