Sign Language Interpreter in Burnsville, MN

Key

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated proficiency as a Sign Language Interpreter
• Minimum EIPA score of 4.0 required
• Valid and current licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter
• Previous experience in educational settings, especially supporting elementary-aged students, is highly valued
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism

Role Expectations:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 interpreting services for a third-grade student throughout the school day
• Facilitate clear and effective communication between the student, peers, and school staff
• Support student engagement and participation in academic and extracurricular activities
• Adapt interpreting modalities for classroom instruction, group discussions, and individual needs
• Work closely with educators, support teams, and family as needed to foster optimal learning outcomes
• Adhere to established policies, maintaining an inclusive and welcoming classroom environment

Position Details:

• On-site only, within a vibrant school community
• School year contract:
  August 24, 2026 – June 3, 2027
• Schedule:
  
  33.75 hours per week, 8:45 AM – 3:00 PM (with a 30-minute lunch break)
