Automotive Canadian Buyer

Walser Automotive Group is seeking an Automotive Canadian Buyer to source and purchase new and used vehicles from Canadian markets for our Midwest dealerships. In this role, you will manage Canadian suppliers, negotiate pricing and terms, and coordinate logistics to maintain optimal inventory levels that support our one-price, customer-first sales model. You'll monitor market trends, analyze costs and margins, and ensure full compliance with Canadian and U.S. import regulations.

Working closely with sales, finance, and logistics, you'll help deliver the right vehicles at the right time while contributing to Walser's culture of integrity, transparency, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase new and used automotive inventory from Canadian markets
• Manage and negotiate with Canadian suppliers to secure competitive pricing and terms
• Monitor inventory levels and purchasing plans to support dealership sales targets
• Ensure compliance with Canadian and U.
• S. import regulations and documentation requirements
• Analyze costs, margins, and market trends to optimize purchasing decisions
• Collaborate with sales, finance, and logistics teams on vehicle flow and timing
• Create and manage purchase orders and maintain accurate records in ERP and related systems
• Resolve delivery, quality, and invoicing issues with suppliers
• Report on key purchasing and inventory KPIs to management
• Support continuous improvement of purchasing processes and vendor performance
