Position: TIG Welder - 2nd Shift (Onsite)

Job Summary

Position: TIG Welder with Avionics Repair Experience (Onsite, Second Shift – Monday to Friday, 3:00–11:30PM) located at Burnsville, MN. The role involves welding, brazing, cutting, and repair work on a variety of aircraft materials in a FAA-regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble parts in jigs or fixtures and select appropriate torch, torch tips, filler rods, and fluxes based on blueprints, welding diagrams, and operation sheets.
  • Connect and regulate oxygen and fuel gas cylinders, torches, and flow meters to achieve required gas flows and amperage.
  • Weld, braze, and cut nitronics, aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, and SAE 4130 steels, following blueprint specifications and operation sheet instructions.
  • Inspect welds for bead size, penetration, and other specifications; grind away slag or spatter and clean parts with solvent.
  • Repair welds using rejection sheets and X–ray sheets, interpreting technical drawings and verbal instructions to select equipment and settings.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area, including materials and equipment.
  • Perform troubleshooting and testing of repair units using electronic test equipment.
  • Communicate written and verbal reports with technicians, engineering, and leadership within the MRO.
Qualifications
  • High‑school diploma or equivalent required; minimum 1year of relevant welding experience in manufacturing or service environments.
  • Preferred: 2+years in aviation manufacturing or repair.
  • Ability to obtain Preliminary MRB authorization; experience reviewing CMM/SB documentation and creating mark‑ups.
Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or individual granted refugee or asylee status in the U.S. (U.S. Person).
  • No security clearance required; subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA regulations (14

Compensation

$46,938 – $88,035 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
