Job Overview
Mechanical Assembler I – 2nd Shift Monday-Thursday. 4x10 schedule. Position located at US-MN-BURNSVILLE-MEMS. Role type:
Unspecified. Requires U.S. Person status; security clearance not required.
- Perform routine assembly operations and provide mentorship to department staff.
- Use hand tools to assemble parts according to blueprint specifications.
- Inspect parts, apply coatings, label/box, and prepare for shipment.
- Check for cracks, loose connections, faulty bonds and assembly errors.
- Record test results in logs and route products for rework or salvage.
- Route reworked assemblies for testing and clean completed assemblies.
- Test parts with equipment, set controls, observe readings, and check for malfunctions.
- Set up and use equipment such as Ragen Assembly, Component Lead Former, Drill Press, Denison Hydraulic Press, Component Lead tinning, and S.M.T. Re-flow.
- Fabricate instrument parts through crimping, staking, cutting, welding, soldering, and immersion testing as required.
- Maintain materials, equipment, and work area clean and orderly.
- Comply with all Raytheon Technologies rules and regulations including EHS, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Check work methods and results for conformance to standards and re-instruct as required.
- Report to lead or supervisor on work progress, updates and quality issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- U.S. person status (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee).
- Manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
- Career Readiness Certification preferred.
- Ability to interpret schematics, technical drawings, and assembly instructions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and multi-tasking ability.
- Intermediate computer skills for typing, navigating screens and learning new software.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to follow direction from supervisors and work in a team environment.
- Understanding of product end uses and safety/quality requirements.
- Capability to work in a repetitive, fast-paced environment.
- Starting rate $21.50/hour including shift differential.

2nd shift Monday-Thursday, 3:00 pm - 1:30 am (first 3-4 months training on 1st shift daytime hours).
