Overview
We are looking for an experienced machinist to join our Burnsville, MN facility. The role involves operating manual Bridgeport mills and lathes, performing routine and custom machining tasks in a climate‑controlled shop.
Responsibilities- Set up and operate manual mills and lathes for production machining.
- Perform blueprint reading, inspections, and ensure quality standards.
- Use indicators, micrometers, calipers, and surface plates for inspection.
- Inspect and certify own work.
- Operate with minimal support and solve problems independently.
- Maintain production equipment and perform daily, quarterly, and annual preventive maintenance.
- High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent vocational/technical education in a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant machining experience.
- Strong understanding of CNC lathes and mills.
- Ability to safely set up and operate manual mills and lathes.
- U.S. Person status (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status).
- Technical school certificate or diploma in machining.
- 2+ years of manual mill or lathe experience, including Bridgeport.
- Production manufacturing experience.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Effective communication and cross‑functional collaboration.
Work 2nd shift:
Monday–Thursday 3:00pm–1:30am, with initial training on 1st shift for 3–4 months.
