Overview

We are looking for an experienced machinist to join our Burnsville, MN facility. The role involves operating manual Bridgeport mills and lathes, performing routine and custom machining tasks in a climate‑controlled shop.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate manual mills and lathes for production machining.
  • Perform blueprint reading, inspections, and ensure quality standards.
  • Use indicators, micrometers, calipers, and surface plates for inspection.
  • Inspect and certify own work.
  • Operate with minimal support and solve problems independently.
  • Maintain production equipment and perform daily, quarterly, and annual preventive maintenance.
Qualifications – Must Have
  • High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent vocational/technical education in a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant machining experience.
  • Strong understanding of CNC lathes and mills.
  • Ability to safely set up and operate manual mills and lathes.
  • U.S. Person status (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical school certificate or diploma in machining.
  • 2+ years of manual mill or lathe experience, including Bridgeport.
  • Production manufacturing experience.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Effective communication and cross‑functional collaboration.

Work 2nd shift:
Monday–Thursday 3:00pm–1:30am, with initial training on 1st shift for 3–4 months.
