Schedule:
1st shift - Monday to Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:30pm $21.15 x1
2nd shift Monday to Thursday, 4:20pm - 2:50am $23.40 x1
Fridays are sometimes mandatory overtime.
Job Description
The Production Machine Operator efficiently operates, monitors, and maintains one or two pieces of production equipment in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment. This role supports high-quality food or pharmaceutical manufacturing by running equipment such as cartoners, labelers, wrappers, pouching and stick machines, and related accessories, while assisting with end-of-line packaging activities.
Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and maintain one or two pieces of production equipment, including cartoners, labelers, wrappers, pouching machines, stick machines, and related accessories.
- Assist with end-of-line packaging, including filling shippers, stacking shippers, and transporting full pallets from the production area.
- Ensure all machine operations and work practices comply with GMP requirements and company standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Observe product and machine operation throughout the production run to identify defects, irregularities, or equipment malfunctions and elevate as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized machine work area, including removal of waste materials in accordance with 5S standards.
- Follow good documentation practices and read, interpret, and understand batch records and related production documentation.
- Assist with equipment setup and teardown, including loading correct formulas and materials for each production run.
- Check and verify weight limits to ensure products meet specified standards.
- Document production output and downtime accurately and in a timely manner.
- Accurately complete batch records, logbooks, and other required production forms.
- Label and palletize finished or pressed product according to established procedures.
- Use basic hand tools and mechanical skills to support equipment operation and minor adjustments as required.
- Collaborate with team members and support continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.15 - $23.40/hr.
