OPERATIONS MANAGER OPPORTUNITY AT TEE IT UP FOR THE TROOPS

Operations Manager ensures the organization runs smoothly, efficiently, and in full compliance across all internal functions, translating mission into execution by building scalable systems, supporting and empowering staff, and enabling the Board and executive leadership to focus on growth, sustainability, and impact. This is a hybrid, full-time, exempt position.

Tee It Up for the Troops is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring and supporting military veterans by using the game of golf as a platform to create meaningful impact. Through a series of golf events, partnerships, and community engagement efforts across the country, the organization raises critical funds and awareness for veteran‑focused programs that address needs such as housing, employment, mental health services, and family support.

Since its founding, Tee It Up for the Troops has built a strong reputation for combining patriotic purpose with professionally run events that bring together veterans, supporters, and sponsors powerfully and respectfully.

OPERATIONS MANAGER - POSITION OVERVIEW

Tee It Up for the Troops is a mission‑driven nonprofit dedicated to honoring and supporting veterans and their families through impactful programming, events, and partnerships. As a small but growing organization, TIUFTT requires an Operations Manager who is both strategic and hands‑on—a true operational backbone capable of designing effective systems while executing within them. Success in this role is reflected in smooth, friction‑free operations, a supported and productive staff, leadership and Board confidence in data, systems, and compliance, and an organization positioned for sustainable growth while safeguarding mission integrity.

CORE

RESPONSIBILITIESOrganizational Operations & Infrastructure
  • Oversee day‑to‑day operational functions across administration, finance support, HR, compliance, and technology
  • Design, document, and continuously improve internal systems, processes, and workflows
  • Ensure organizational compliance (state, federal, nonprofit regulations, insurance, filings)
Financial & Administrative Oversight
  • Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls
  • Oversee bookkeeping function; ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Manage contracts, vendors, and operational expenses
People & Team Leadership
  • Directly manage:
  • Social Media & Veteran Outreach Coordinator
  • Bookkeeper
  • Support Specialist
  • Provide coaching, accountability, and performance management
  • Support a healthy, mission‑aligned culture with clear roles and expectations
Board & Governance Support
  • Support REUNION and Grant Board Committees as requested.
  • Prepare reports, data, and operational insights for Board and committee use
  • Support grant tracking, reporting, and administrative requirements
Cross‑Functional Partnership
  • Collaborate closely with Programs, Development, Marketing, and Events
  • Support event execution as needed.
  • Act as a key internal problem‑solver and decision‑support partner
