Overview
As a Seasonal Maintenance II worker in our Parks Department, you will assist staff with a variety of park maintenance tasks and safely operate City vehicles and equipment while also taking on more advanced responsibilities and working independently. Ideal candidates will have experience in park maintenance or similar roles.
Our Public Works Department is a dedicated team of talented individuals who work together to make normal happen for those who live, work, and play in Burnsville. Your efforts will help keep the city running smoothly and efficiently by supporting the operation and maintenance of our infrastructure.
This is a non-exempt (hourly) position with a starting wage range of $17.42–$20.78 per hour, depending on qualifications. Both full-time and part-time hours are available with the following schedules:
Monday–Friday: 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Saturday–Sunday: 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Qualifications:
- Must be 17 years of age or older.
- Must have park or other relevant experience.
- Possess a valid Class D Driver’s License or be eligible to obtain one.
- Have a background or interest in local government work and serving the community.
- Show a commitment to developing your strengths and valuing each colleague’s unique perspectives.
