Position: MRO Quality Technician I (Final Inspection) (Onsite)

Join Collins Aerospace as an MRO Quality Technician I (Final Inspection) and play an essential role ensuring aircraft components meet quality and airworthiness standards required for return to service.

This position is based onsite in Burnsville, Minnesota, supporting first‑shift operations (6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.) and may require overtime, extended workdays, and occasional weekend coverage as business needs dictate.

What You Will Do
  • Perform receiving, in‑process, final, and audit inspections to verify products meet quality, workmanship, and customer requirements for return to service.
  • Execute product inspection activities in accordance with established procedures, standards, and repair‑station requirements.
  • Review and interpret technical documentation including drawings, bills of material (BOMs), and other design data to support inspection activities.
  • Utilize appropriate inspection methods, tools, and measurement equipment to evaluate product quality and compliance.
  • Make product acceptance decisions based on product documentation, inspection criteria, and company workmanship standards.
  • Document discrepancies and process product nonconformances in accordance with company procedures and approved dispositions.
  • Maintain accurate and organized inspection records and complete required SAP transactions.
  • Prioritize inspection activities based on production schedules and business needs to support operational objectives.
  • Support multiple product lines while serving as a resource for quality and inspection‑related questions.
  • Assist with development and improvement of inspection methods, procedures, and quality processes.
  • Maintain working knowledge of GD&T, quality requirements, and applicable repair‑station procedures.
  • Participate in required training activities and maintain applicable skills, certifications, and job knowledge.
  • Comply with Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) policies and procedures, including required PPE and training programs.
  • Recognize that this position is safety‑sensitive in accordance with FAA guidelines and will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA regulations.
Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or GED; if lacking, 3 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Ability to obtain an FAA Repairman Certificate within six months of hire.
  • Familiarity with inspection methods, techniques, tools, and equipment used to evaluate product quality and determine airworthiness following maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alteration activities.
  • Experience utilizing inspection equipment, measurement tools, and visual aids to support product inspections and quality verification activities.
