Join Collins Aerospace as an MRO Quality Technician II (Final Inspection) and play a vital role in ensuring aircraft components meet the quality and airworthiness standards required for return to service. The position is based onsite in Burnsville, Minnesota, supporting first shift operations with standard hours of 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Candidates must be flexible to support business needs, including overtime, extended workdays, and occasional weekend coverage as required.
What You Will Do:- Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections, as well as audits.
- Execute SAP transactions and process product return to service.
- Maintain inspection records in an organized manner.
- Make decisions regarding product acceptance per documentation and workmanship criteria.
- Document discrepancies and dispose of non-conformances as approved.
- Prioritize inspections per schedule needs.
- Interpret design data (prints, BOMs, GDT, etc.) and use proper inspection methods and equipment.
- Assist in the development of inspection methods and procedures.
- Support multiple product lines and answer quality & inspection questions.
- Maintain applicable skills, knowledge, and certifications as required.
- Comply with EH&S policies, including wearing appropriate PPE and attending required trainings.
This position is considered safety‑sensitive in accordance with FAA guidelines. Candidates will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA regulations 14 CFR part 120 and 49 CFR part 40.
Qualifications You Must Have:- High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., G.E.D.) or vocational/technical education related to the discipline.
- Minimum of one year of relevant experience or eighteen months of aviation‑related practical experience, or completion of an FAA‑acceptable formal training course.
- Ability to obtain an FAA Repairman certificate within 6 months of hire.
- Familiarity with inspection methods, techniques, equipment, and tools used for maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alterations.
- Experience with various inspection equipment and visual aids appropriate for the product being inspected.
