Job Summary

As a Sr Technician - Security with Bosch Building Technologies North America, you will review, understand, analyze, and implement installation blueprints and plans from Project Managers and Sales Teams to complete installations. This role requires the ability to properly complete the installation, understand and follow the BOM, and be capable of making adjustments or finding alternative solutions as needed to complete installations to client satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Installing and servicing electronic security systems, including access control, CCTV, and intrusion alarms.
  • Pre‑wiring, installing, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Preparing and executing Acceptance Testing Plans that meet contract, client and future service needs.
  • Assisting in system design and layout.
  • Providing training to customers for proper system usage and responding to technical inquiries.
  • Building relationships with clients and prospects for future opportunities.
  • Administrative duties including project updates to Project Managers and filing all project documentation.
  • Supporting, leading, and mentoring team members.
  • Designing systems and layout.
  • Maintaining a high level of safety and professionalism.
  • Leading projects at a site level, managing a team of junior technicians as necessary.
  • Working at required heights utilizing ladders, scaffolding, lifts, or other equipment.
  • Working in confined spaces as necessary.
  • Performing other tasks as required.
Required Qualifications
  • PLT Certification required.
  • 3+ years prior experience in a technical role within the Security Systems Integration industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid Driver's License with clean abstract.
  • Ability to use hand and specialty tools associated with the industry.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs consistently.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Postsecondary training in electronics or equivalent.
  • Vendor Certification in low voltage systems.
Physical Demands

Stand, climb, walk, sit, push, pull, squat, crawl, stoop regularly. Use hands to finger, handle, feel objects, and type on keyboard; reach with hands and arms. Talk and hear. Close vision, distance vision, depth perception required. Use of power tools. Lift and move up to 50 lbs occasionally. Work at heights over 1.8 m. Work in outdoor weather conditions, job sites, possibly travel.

Work in typical office environment occasionally. Noise level moderate. Confined space entry may be required. High work may be required.

Compensation

Estimated pay range: $42.00 - $52.00 per hour. Current compensation: $44.61 Union.
