Salary: $25 - $40/hr
Lift operator / Ground person
Job Description
- Willingness to learn all aspects of a tree service crew and work in various positions as needed – use chainsaws to trim and remove trees, operate bucket truck, arial life, articulated loader or skid steer, stack brush, rake, stump grind, maintain all tools and equipment.
- Work on a team to ensure jobs are completed safely and efficiently
- Follow all safety requirements including personal protective equipment worn daily (hard hat, safety glasses, ear protection, safety toe shoes)
- Most days are 7:30am – 4:30pm, occasional weekends and emergency storm work
Qualifications
- Attentive to instructions and visual cues and able to act promptly
- Punctual, honest and dependable
- Lift 50+ lbs., bend, pull, climb, stoop, grip, hold
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Work in most weather conditions
- Pass drug screening and background check
- Preferred - knowledge of tree species, pruning and removal practices
- Preferred - experience in tree service or landscape industry
- Preferred – Class B or CDL
