The Heating Air Conditioning Service Technician is a full-time role involving diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and installing residential and commercial HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, boilers, rooftop units, ductless systems, and related controls. The technician will perform preventive maintenance, evaluate system performance, and recommend appropriate solutions to ensure safety, efficiency, and comfort. Daily responsibilities include responding to service calls, accurately documenting work performed, maintaining tools and company vehicle, and following all safety and regulatory guidelines.
The technician will interact directly with customers, explain findings and recommendations in clear terms, and support high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Demonstrated ability to perform hands-on Maintenance & Repair and Preventive Maintenance on a variety of HVAC systems.
- Strong Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and control issues in heating and cooling equipment.
- Commitment to Customer Satisfaction through professional communication, punctuality, and respectful service.
- Valid EPA certification (or eligibility to obtain) for handling refrigerants in compliance with regulations.
- Previous experience as an HVAC service technician or installer, preferably in both residential and commercial settings.
- Knowledge of HVAC safety standards, local codes, and best practices for system installation and service.
- Ability to work independently in the field, manage time effectively, and complete accurate service documentation.
- High school diploma or equivalent; formal HVAC training or technical school education is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and ability to meet physical demands of the role (lifting, climbing, working in varied environments).
