Duties and Responsibilities of a Warehouse AssociateA Warehouse Associate performs a variety of warehousing tasks in support of all sales distribution points while adhering to company safety, quality, and production standards. Responsibilities include unloading freight using manual and motorized equipment; comparing received goods with packing slips to ensure order accuracy; inspecting goods for damage and notifying supervisors of discrepancies; scanning products into the inventory control system; maintaining adequate stock on shelves in a neat and orderly condition;
participating in scheduled inventory events such as physical counts; preparing shipments for customers or internal locations; accurately picking items from orders, requisitions, or shipping orders; loading product onto trucks and trailers; and maintaining a clean, organized warehouse to ensure accessibility and safety. This role may also involve property maintenance such as snow removal and lawn care, as well as reporting suspicious activity to uphold a safe work environment.
Required qualifications include strong computer skills and the ability to learn new software; willingness and capability to operate powered equipment (forklift, pallet jack, etc.); and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Physical RequirementsLifting up to 50 lbs.; standing, walking, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, reaching, and climbing or descending stairs for the duration of the shift.
