Material Handler
We are seeking a diligent and skilled Material Handler to efficiently manage our inventory and shipping processes. The ideal candidate will operate various forklifts, assist with order picking and processing, and ensure accurate shipping documentation.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, including sit down propane, sit down electric, and stand up electric models.
- Pick large bags and boxes of inventory and process movements using an RF Scanner.
- Navigate shipping software on a PC to schedule trucks and complete Bills of Lading.
- Perform cycle counting during inventory audits.
- Palletize the final product for shipping.
- Utilize UPS and Fed Ex shipping software.
- Record correct lot numbers for picking.
Essential Skills
- At least 1 year of shipping experience.
- At least 1 year of forklift operation experience.
- Forklift certification required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with UPS and Fed Ex is preferred.
- Ability to work independently within a small team.
- Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and customers.
Work Environment
The work environment is a typical warehouse setting, which is well-lit, spacious, and generally quiet. The position operates on the first shift, Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Burnsville, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
