Inventory Control Specialist
Location: Warehouse Environment
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour
Phillips Pet Food & Supplies is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our warehouse team. This role is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy through cycle counting, discrepancy investigations, reporting, and inventory reconciliation activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, advanced computer proficiency, and experience working within a warehouse environment.
Primary ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform daily cycle counts and inventory adjustments.
- Reconcile and investigate discrepancies between system inventory and physical inventory counts.
- Inspect customer returns and process stock put-backs.
- Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly inventory metrics and reports.
- Verify and confirm inbound inventory shipments.
- Accurately perform data entry and record maintenance.
- Support inventory accuracy initiatives across the warehouse.
- Complete other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Previous experience using Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis functions.
- Prior inventory control or warehouse experience preferred.
- Experience with SAP is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Must regularly lift, carry, move, and handle inventory weighing up to 50 pounds.
Standing and WalkingMust be able to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift on concrete warehouse flooring.
Bending and ReachingFrequently required to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach overhead to access inventory and stock locations, with or without the use of a step ladder.
This position is performed primarily in a non-temperature-controlled warehouse environment, which experiences seasonal temperature fluctuations and moderate noise levels approximately 70% of the time. The remaining time is spent in a standard office setting.
