- Initiate, resource and manage rapid commercialization teams and individual contributors focused on the identification, design, development, demonstration, commercialization and global migration of new and legacy gas application technologies, processes and equipment that are of commercial value to Linde, with a focus on industrial gases or cryogenic liquids primarily for the Food & Beverage industry. The technology focus areas include food freezing and chilling systems, and atmosphere control applications.
- Develop and execute project plans for technologies, ensuring safe, effective, and timely completion.
- Establish project milestones, monitor progress, and reallocate resources to achieve goals.
- Interface with various functional groups within Linde and external partners to align program portfolio with business and customer needs.
- Manage and develop a team of 4‑12 R&D professionals, overseeing performance and growth; the team conducts major research and development programs, executes technology demonstrations and business growth opportunities for customers.
- Identify and resolve roadblocks to commercialization, acting independently or escalating issues.
- Evaluate new business growth opportunities through technology development and translate strategic direction into tactical plans and implementation activities.
- Lead interactions with colleagues, teams, and customers.
- Contribute to strategies in Linde Technology Development and Commercialization.
- Ensure safe operation and effective use of tools and work processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, equipment, controls, refrigeration, industrial, chemical or food engineering plus a minimum of 5 years of people‑management experience.
- Knowledge of experimental, equipment and mechanical design, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat and mass transfer, mass and energy balances, process design, and basic economic evaluation.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, including internationally as needed.
- Master’s degree in the same fields plus 8+ years of people‑management experience is preferred.
- Prior experience and a strong track record with successful equipment and process development and commercialization with significant commercial impact is preferred.

The salary range for this role is: $113,680 – $170,000.
