The OpportunityWe're looking for a Commis Chef to join our award-winning kitchen team.
You'll support our chefs in delivering exceptional food while developing your own skills in a fast-paced, professional kitchen.
To be considered, you'll need:- A Level 2 Food Safety Certificate
- Previous experience working within a busy professional kitchen
As part of our Kitchen Team, you'll:
- Prepare vegetables, meat and fish
- Support the day-to-day running of the kitchen
- Assist with stock ordering and maintaining stock levels
- Ensure every dish meets our quality standards
- Follow all food hygiene and Health & Safety procedures
- Complete daily food and fridge temperature records
- Maintain excellent kitchen cleanliness using cleaning schedules
- Contribute ideas for seasonal and monthly menus using fresh ingredients
Essential
- Previous experience in a similar hospitality role
- Level 2 Food Safety Certificate
- Strong understanding of food hygiene and quality standards
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen
- Good knowledge of Health & Safety practices
- Experience catering for high-volume service
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Additional Food Safety training
- Always puts the guest first
- Enjoys working as part of a team
- Has a keen eye for detail
- Works efficiently without compromising quality
- Is eager to learn and develop
- Can work independently when required
- Delivers excellent service with a positive attitude
- £28866.15 per year
- 45 hours per week
- Working 5 days out of 7, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays
